Nikon F90x/N90s

The US version is called the N90s while elsewhere in the world it's known as the F90x. Other than those designations there is nothing different between these two cameras.

The F90x is a professional autofocus SLR camera, used by many professionals as their primary or as a second or backup camera. It is an 1994 upgrade from the older (1992) F90/N90. Unlike the F90's 1/2 stop shutter speeds, the F90x uses 1/3 shutter stops from 1/8000th of a second to 30 seconds. The F90x also has an improved autofocus system over the older F90, as well as better hand grip and faster continuous exposures (4.3 pictures per second). Many rate its matrix metering system over that of the higher priced F100.

Flash sync is 1/250th second, viewfinder shows 92% of the full frame and it has a self timer that can be set from 2 to 30 seconds. The camera weighs in at 26.6 ounces without its four AA batteries. There is a depth of field preview button but no mirror lockup or mutiple exposure ability. The exposure compensation button gives you a +/- 5 stop range in 1/3-stop steps.
